God Heals, with Lee Hopkins (Thursday, February 21)

In this week’s segment of “Born To Win!”, Timothy Luke continues his series on healing with an interview of Lee Hopkins, who produced God Heals, a documentary featuring  interviews of ten people.

“I had been sick for many years.  I knew others who had been sick for many years.  The doctors had given up on all of us.  God healed many of us either fully or partially.  But it was all God.  The doctors were out of options,” Lee says.

He produced his God Heals DVD mostly for the sick person who has no place left to turn.  People tell stories of being healed, but Hopkins wanted to dig deeper. “Often we hear God did this and God did that.  Well, tell me how He did.  Where He did.  When He did it. Tell me what you did to hear from God.  Tell me what it was like,” he explains.  “I really wanted it to be a guide for people who did not know how to pursue God for healing.”

The ten people interviewed for the DVD had suffered a variety of illness, ranging from skin diseases, cancer, heart ailments, mental illness, environmental illness, infertility, hepatitis, and chronic fatigue.  All were healed.  For some, it was instant.  For others, the process took time.  The common denominator for all was that each of them approached God differently.  Some were healed quietly at home, in prayer, while others say they were healed in church services.  Some battled their illnesses in hospitals, while others were healed “in blast from Jesus appearing.”

The video, God Heals, is not meant to be for entertainment.  Rather, Hopkins intends it to serve as a guide for the sick person who wants to know more about how to approach God for healing.

“When I  sit down to watch parts of it again,  I am always just amazed at what some of these people have to say,” Hopkins reflects.
